Head Coach of Freestyle & Greco-Roman Wrestling
Peter was 6 years old when he hit rock bottom in a 3rd World Orphanage... only to use that pivotal moment to become an Olympic hopeful and lead others to their own successes on and off the mat.
Peter is currently the reigning National Champ of Costa Rica in Freestyle Wrestling at 57kg and was the Olympic Alternate for the entire Pan-American Zone for the Paris 2024 Olympics. He is currently ranked 24th in the World at 61kg by United World Wrestling and is a 6x International Medalist. After just missing the Paris Olympics, Peter has his sights set on representing Costa Rica in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
He achieved a personal best for himself with a 19th place ranking at the 2024 Senior World Championships in Tirana, Albania... performing the best low single of his career and scoring a solid takedown on the reigning European Champ.
Peter is also the Assistant Coach for Madill Wildcat Wrestling in Folkstyle and teaches Special Ed at Madill Middle School.
Prior to his career in Education, Peter was a Peak Performance Strategist to corporate professionals. His focus was on Mindset and Performance Thinking, as someone who works on the daily mastery of his own neurodiversity. Realizing that his calling was to instill great mindset and leadership skills in today's youth, rather than breaking bad habits in unmotivated adults... Peter switched his attention to providing a firm foundation for those most in need.
Peter is blessed and honored to have been coached by the finest coaches in wrestling. Those coaches include Roger Frizzell, John Smith, Andre Metzger, Zach Esposito, Jamill Kelly, and Kenny Monday.

Mirzo is currently competing at 74kg on the international circuit with the Cowboy RTC of Oklahoma State University and Uzbekistan. He is a 2x NJCAA All-American and 6x Uzbekistan National Champion. Mirzo made Uzbek history in becoming their only wrestler to win 6 consecutive national titles. Additionally, he is on the Senior World Team and Senior Asian Team.
Recently, Mirzo took Silver at an Invitational World All-Star Tournament wrestling against some of the biggest names in International Freestyle... and Bronze at the 2024 Bill Farrell Memorial. He is working his way to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics representing Uzbekistan.
Mirzo was raised within the Russian school of freestyle wrestling technique. Russian training emphasizes technical precision, decisive setups, and leveraging opponents' position against themselves. The focus is on complex grips and drills that replicate real-time match scenarios. In terms of strength and conditioning, this school of wrestling utilizes bodyweight movements for power and endurance.
We are elated to have Mirzo share a bit of his time and expertise with us, as he is a highly sought-after Division 1 collegiate clinician and coach.
Head Coach - Folkstyle / Assistant Coach - Freestyle
Luke is one of our hometown heroes with a long history of hometown heroes. He wrestled for Madill from 2009 to 2013, amassing a record of 111-32. Consequently, he was a 2x Oklahoma State Qualifer and a State placer in 2013 at 160 lbs. Additionally, he was an All-District safety in football.
Wrestling, however, was Luke's first love when it comes to sport. He has an immense passion for teaching and growing this ancient sport among all children. He believes wrestling is the best sport to develop motor skills and instill:
• Character
• Overall athleticism
• Work ethic
• Mental toughness and
• Self-respect
To that end, Luke has extensive experience coaching and mentoring youth wrestling. He was an Assistant Coach (AC) at Plainview Takedown Club in 2018-2019. And, we are thrilled that Luke joined the us at the Madill Takedown Club as an AC in January 2024. He is currently our Head Coach (HC) of Folkstyle and AC of Freestyle.
Professionally, Luke shines in the agricultural vertical. He holds a BS in AG Economics from Oklahoma State University, as well as a Masters from Texas Christian University in Ranch Management. Currently, he uses both degrees as the Partner and Manager of BICE Ranches in both OK and TX. He is also skilled as an entrepreneur owning several business with his wife, Erica, in southern Oklahoma.
It is Luke's entrepreneurial spirit and mindset that makes him an outstanding mentor for children who operate brilliantly when shown how to work with and not against their own neurodiversity.

Rio is a valuable resource for your wrestlers at the Madill Takedown Club. Rio's road to success both on and off the mat began as a graduate of Madill High School, where he excelled in many sports. Outside of wrestling, he was an All-District placer in football and a State placer in track. Wrestling, though, is where Rio's athleticism really dominated. As a wrestler, Rio had a 100-26 record while being a 2x State placer. He also earned other accolades his senior year as a top performer in All-District, All-Conference, and All-Area.
His foundation in Madill prepared him well for his time at the University of Central Oklahoma, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Finance and a Minor in Real Estate and Business Administration.
While at UCO, Rio had solid Folkstyle seasons at 133lb.
His success at UCO includes:
Winner - Oklahoma City Open
Runner-Up - Oklahoma City Open
Runner-Up - Jet Invitational
5th Place - Lindenwood Open
In addition to being an Assistant Coach, Rio is the owner of R&R Construction in Tishomingo. We are immensely proud of him for his company's construction of the Madill High School Wrestling Facilities and his passion for instilling greatness in all of his wrestling students.
Assistant Coach
Rowdy is a Madill alumnus with an incredibly successful career as a multi-sport athlete. He was a 2x First Team All-District Offensive Lineman, along with being a Second Team selection his sophomore year. Additionally, Rowdy made the VYPE Magazine pre-season All-State list of outstanding football players.
Not content with just football, Rowdy was a 3x State Qualifier in Powerlifting and a 2x Southeast Large School Regional Champ, who earned the Outstanding Lifter award his senior year. In Track& Field, Rowdy was a 2x State Qualifier.
Upon graduating, Rowdy signed his Letter of Intent to play football at NEO. The call of home and family, however, was of greater significance. Rowdy instead started his beautiful family with his supportive partner, Kaitlyn. They now have 2 children, River and Bryer, who both attend Madill public schools.
Professionally, Rowdy is the Captain of the Hauani Creek Volunteer Fire Department. His competitive drive has propelled him to earn multiple gold seal certifications through the OSU Fire Service, as well as other state agencies. Rowdy is also the co-founder of the Madill Football League (2024) and on the board of the Oklahoma Outdoor Outreach program.
We are honored to have Rowdy as an AC. He dedicates multiple days and hours to those most in need (children and adults) across the state... in addition to those in Madill.
Assistant Coach
Scott was a solid athlete growing up through the Madill ISD, where he graduated in 2006. His primary athletic focus was and continues to be wrestling. He caught the youth wrestling bug early, which enabled him to become a 2x State Qualifier in 2005 and again in 2006 at 140 lbs.
Football was also a passion for Scott, as it went hand-in-hand with his wrestling prowess. He was a 3a-2 All-District linebacker in 2005.
Scott married his beautiful wife, Veronica, in 2007 shortly after graduating from Madill High School. They have 3 children together. Luke, Leighton, and Kyler are all following in their father's footsteps in the Madill ISD.
Scott has been a freight conductor for a Class 1 Railroad since 2007.
When asked what he loves about wrestling, Scott shares that wrestling teaches kids how to work hard, become mentally tough, and believe in themselves and their abilities at all times.
We couldn't agree more!
